Our priority is ensuring your comfort, excitement, and preparedness for your upcoming portrait session. Our guide is designed to help you both feel confident and ready to shine in front of the camera, by giving you 5 base poses to build our creativity upon.

The V-Up pose creates a connection between partners, forming a subtle "V" shape with their bodies.
V- Up Pose
Instructions: Stand facing the camera with your bodies slightly angled towards each other. Hold each other with arms behind the back.
Variations: We will start with a few of the traditional “safe” shots, playing around with hand positions and head tilts.
Tips: Relax your bodies into each other, focus on the connection between you. Keep your posture relaxed and open.
Open Pose
The open pose radiates love and joy by opening up to each other and the camera
Instructions: Stand facing the camera with your bodies slightly angled towards each other. Keep space between the 2.
Variations: We will start with a few of the traditional shots, playing around with hand positions and head tilts. Using this pose as a base for number of playful shots, some movement as well with walking shots and some dramatic wide shots. Hold each other with arms behind the back for another variation.

Closed pose
The closed pose evokes a sense of closeness and affection by physically embracing each other.
Instructions: Stand facing each other chest to chest and wrap your arms around each other in a warm embrace.
Variations: This pose opens us up to a few of our favorites that display the intimacy of your connection like the forehead to forehead, hidden faced poses, Nose kisses, and toe to toe touches. The adventurous lift up poses, the romantic dips, and dramatic stares makes this base pose a consistent favorite for intimate sessions.
Tips: Relax your bodies into each other, focus on the connection between you, and let your love shine through. Keep your weight on back leg
Reversed Pose
The reversed pose adds a captivating dynamic to your couples' portraits by inviting a playful exchange of gazes.
Instructions: While one partner engages directly with the camera, drawing viewers in with their captivating smile or gaze, the other partner turns away, creating a sense of anticipation and intimacy.
Variations: This pose is great for a really mysterious look as well as some dramatic looks of admiration from both parties.
Tips: Embrace the sense of adventure and spontaneity, trust each other's lead, and enjoy the freedom to express your unique connection.

Stacked Pose
The stacked pose emphasizes symmetry and harmony by aligning your bodies vertically within the frame.
Instructions: One partner stands slightly behind the other and embrace each other either by holding hands or caressing arms.
Variations: This pose can be done with either partner in back giving distinct moods with either way. With the man in back, it becomes easy to create images of security, admiration and safety by the way you 2 embrace. When the woman is behind it gives a playful tone and can be transitioned into some of everyone’s favorite shots in piggy back position. Choke hold pose is where the arm wraps around the neck in relaxed way
Tips: Embrace the sense of fun and comfort with this pose. Keep in mind hand position to highlight ring.
