Grateful don’t always mean things are going great.

In my life i’ve felt the most consistent spirit of gratitude when I felt like I had lost the most. It is something about losing something that changes my what I value. The less material I had to be thankful for the more grateful I found myself w/ myself. Maybe the losses cause an evaluation of what’s left after seeing whats left you realize everything is alright.

I am connecting the idea of things not going great w/ loss because different forms of loss is typically when It becomes tougher to feel great about whats happening in life. there is a 3 step process I like to refer to to bring gratitude back into my being.

Shifting your focus is step 1 in establishing gratitude. Focus on what’s left. That sounds like subpar, but that action is putting you back on the road to wholeness by analyzing how much is in your present. Step 2 is expression. This goes with the idea of fake It till you make It. Verbalizing your appreciation for what is over and over again until you reach step 3 which is the feeling. It may feel fake at first but persist because your are making a habit out of your healing. How do you feel after continued expression? Remember that feeling because It’ll serve as a shortcut too gratefulness. Our feelings influence our frequencies. Bringing awareness to how you feel is the final step in using gratitude as your tool to heal.
